You’ve tried the other things.
The apps that track your mood. The journals that ask how you’re feeling. The breathing exercises you do for three days and then forget. The self-help books you finish but don’t finish.
None of it was wrong. It just started in the wrong place.
It started with the mind.

Shakabuku starts with the body.
Not as a philosophy. As a fact.
Your body knows things your mind hasn’t caught up to yet. Your jaw tightens before you’ve named the anger. Your breath goes shallow before you’ve registered the fear. Your weight shifts before you’ve admitted that something is off.

The body is not a vehicle that carries your thoughts around. It is the first language. The one that was speaking long before you had words.
We built Shakabuku for people who have given up on self-help — because self-help kept asking them to think their way through something the body was holding.
You can’t think your way out of something the body is carrying.
You have to feel it first. Name it. Put it down.

Why this? Why now?
Nobody planned the disconnection. It accumulated slowly — across generations, across a culture that got more comfortable and less embodied at the same time. Shoes got more cushioned. Screens got more compelling. The nervous system learned to hover above the ground rather than land on it.

And a lot of people — maybe you — have been moving through life carrying weight they never named, in a body they never quite arrived in.
Shakabuku is not here to fix you. You are not broken.
It is here to ask a question that most things never ask. Do you trust your body?

A Shakabuku moment is that instant when something shifts — and you feel it before you understand it.
Not an epiphany. Not a transformation. Just a quiet, undeniable recognition that something in your body just told you the truth.
That’s it. That’s the whole thing.
Start with Grounded – there is a reason why.
